URGES BIRTH CONTROL CLINICS

Mrs. Margaret Sanger Tells What the League is Fighting For.

Mrs. Margaret Sanger, national president of the American Birth Control League, in an address before the second annual convention of the League tonight urged the establishment of birth control clinics, where "poor mothers may obtain scientific information."

In discussing the objects of the league, Mrs. Sanger said:

"We are fighting for the women and children of the present generation; we are fighting for the children, women and men of the next generation. We want a world freer, happier, cleaner--we want a race of thoroughbreds. We want to make America the leading nation of the world, physically, mentally and spiritually."

Dr. John Colin Vaughan, of New York, member of the board of directors of the league, and Dr. Sidney E. Goldstein, associate pastor of the Free Synagogue of New York, also addressed the convention.
